A step wedge block is used for the calibration or reference checking of ultrasonic probes and thickness gauges. The step wedge block can be verified and certified by a NATA laboratory for use as a calibration tool to be used with thickness gauges.
Thickness Gauge Step Wedge blocks are made from 1080 Low Carbon Steel and is available as a 4 step block.
These are used to verify and adjust the calibration of your ultrasonic thickness gauge and transducer when performing NDT.
The step wedge block allows users to select a thickness reference closest to the expected thickness of the material under inspection and can be used as part of 2-point calibration to improve testing accuracy.
