The LHT-Test Block is a hardness reference block for the calibration of portable hardness testers.
A Portable Hardness tester is measures in the Leeb scale and then the results are converted. Our Portable Hardness Testers such as the LHT-, HTR Series and the TH-170 Series can be self calibrated. To perform self calibration you need to have a reference test block. Portable hardness tester blocks are special and have a surface that is machined and polished. The blocks have a weight of about 3kg and are about 55mm thickness. This ensures that an accurate result is achieved.
Another benefit of having a reference test block is that when unexpected results are obtained you can use the tester on the test block to verify the accuracy of the tester.
The test block have their harndess inscribed on them in the scale of HLD. If using a different scale the reference value will be different. We supply our test blocks with the correct value for the scale of the tester used.
