The DSD-STAND is compatable with our DSD series durometers to provide a constant load pressure when testing.  The purpose is so that results are consistent as recommedend by the ASTM D2240 standard.  When manually using a durometer without the assistance of a stand, it is likely that there will be discrepancies in results as it is difficult to repeatedly apply a consistent pressure with each test over multiple tests and multiple users.  

The test stand features a solid base with a lever system fixed to an adjustable height boom for adapting to a wide range of test piece heights. The stand is fitted with a test weight of 1Kg for Shore A testing or 4kg for Shore D testing. * Please specify at time of order.
