The CTR-1000s is a digital coating thickness gauge for testing of non magnetic coatings on ferrous and non ferrous metal substrates. It features a remote probe sensor on a fly-lead for better access into tight areas and channels.
CTR-1000s is designed for users that need to measure coating thickness on metallic substrates in areas that can be difficult to access such as inside H-beams, chassis rails, grooves and recesses.
An example of a common use is measuring the thickness of paint on metal panels such as the paintwork on a car.
The purpose for testing the thickness of paint and other coatings is to ensure the coating is thick enough to be able to protect the substrate but not too thick so as to minimise waste and keep control of costs.
The benefit of having the separate probe for measurement is that the CTR-1000s can measure in difficult to access areas such as the drainage channels under the bonnet of a car. The results are displayed on the backlit LCD screen along with statistical data such as the minimum, maximum and average.
