More info

The Starr Instruments LHT-200 Series LEEB Hardness tester is designed for users wanting comprehensive data results display and storage. Able to perform almost any metal hardness testing from large, unmachined castings through to small finished components by having interchangeable impact devices the LHT-200 is the ultimate in hardness testing. Common uses are in quality control, determination of fit for purpose hardness and to gauge deterioration of metal parts and components.

Operation is easy and it is simple to calibrate the device using included reference hardness test block. Results are highly accurate and repeatable within ±6 HLD as standard.

Results display on the pda screen alongside conversions to the scales of HRC, HRB, HB, HV, MPa and Shore and can be conveniently printed using one-touch print, or saved and transfered to your PC later with the included USB cable.  The stand out feature is the ability for LHT-200 Series to measure a wide range of results by utilising the ability to interchange the impact device.  This feature makes the LHT-200 series a more economical choice by requiring only additional impact devices for different testing requirements rather than requiring a complete additional tester.

FEATURES:

• Large touch LCD screen display with stylus
• Displays dual hardness values in HL and user selected units (HRC, HRB, HB, HV, MPa, HS Shore Duro)
• Statistics update with each impact (rolling average and standard deviation)
• Data summary screen of test set
• Impact Device auto recognition
• Bluetooth® one touch wireless printing

Available are different impact devices to suit different applications. Most applications would require the D type impact device.

D Type impact devices are most suitable for general use and are used on most steels and other metal with thickness over 5mm and bulk weight above 5kg

DC Type Impact devices best used for small spaces where it is not possible to use a regular sized impact device. By having only 86mm total height this device will fit where other devices cannot.

DL Type impact device is used suitable for deep and or narrow channels, grooves and holes.

C Type is the impact device suitable for light and small work pieces less than 2Kg and 5mm in weight. Also for used surface hardened layers.

G Type is a heavy duty impact device suitable to big and heavy work pieces with rough surface such as raw castings.

Available as a "Basic Kit" consisting of the PDA, D type impact device, charger, cleaning brush, data cable, user manual and factory calibration certificate.

Recommended is the "Complete Kit" which has all of the above as well as a wireless printer and a reference test block for calibration combined at a discounted price compared to purchasing either item separately.  Either the test block or the printer can be added to the basic kit individually.  If you do not already have a reference test block it is highly recommended to ensure you add on the test block or purchase the complete kit.

All options can be selected from the drop down box and the price will be displayed.  Just add to your cart to purchase.

* Supported means that the test pieces is placed on a large, stable backing such as a vice or heavy metal bench

** Coupled means the test piece needs to be physically clamped and firmly attached to a stable backing.

This is necessary to reduce the vibration and any impact absorption from the test impact which would result in inaccurate, low readings.
